Efficient utility for hashing files, managing profiles, and scheduling scans to verify data integrity
FingerPrint is an application utility program that allows users to verify the integrity of stored data files on an internal hard drive or external storage device, including USB thumb drives and hard drives. The user is prompted to create a profile, which supports two options, hash files in a directory or create a group profile.
The group profile allows users to give the group a unique name, select all profiles available, and perform multiple actions. Under the group profile, you can migrate older profiles to the current group or run the hash utility on all files present.
The hash files option allow users to name the profile and select file and or directories of data on the desired storage medium. FingerPrint is a basic utility, but it is efficient and effectively provides a tool to give users the power to monitor file integrity. Users using FingerPrint can schedule periodic scans of files or perform file verification when desired.
